Public Works Streets & Drainage Division

Welcome to the Streets & Drainage division website. Our goal is to keep you informed of ongoing projects as well as seasonal work performed by the Streets division.

The Streets division is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the streets within the city. Snow removal, street sweeping, tree trimming, mowing, and drainage maintenance are also a part of their responsibilities. In addition, the Streets division provides traffic control for all city projects and parades.

In the summer months our focus is primarily on pothole patching, mowing, and tree trimming. Street sweeping is a year-round chore.

As the monsoon season approaches, the concentration will be focused on drainage work. As we move into late fall the crack sealing program begins.

Winter brings out the snow plows and allows us time to maintain and repair equipment in preparation for our busy time.

Spring brings with it another round of crack sealing and continued drainage work.

Each season is full of activity, so as you drive around our fair city, please do us a favor and slow down while in our construction areas, give us a smile and a wave; we really are nice guys doing our best to improve conditions in our city every day.
