Whipple Roadway Construction Notice:

The City of Show Low will begin the Whipple Roadway Reconstruction Project on June 9th 2014. The project includes the construction of new curb and gutter, sidewalk, asphalt, and drainage improvements from the intersection of Central Avenue and Whipple Road heading east approximately 0.30 miles. Whipple Road from Central Ave. to Hunters Run will be closed, to through traffic, during construction. The project is scheduled to last approximately 150 days. Please contact City Engineer Shane Hemesath at 928-532-4090 at City Hall with any questions. Thank you for your understanding while these improvements are completed.


Phase II Environmental Assessment Being Conducted at 180 N. 11th St.

The city received a grant for a Phase II environmental assessment at the former Woody's bulk fuel plant site at 180 North 11th Street. Funding for the Phase II investigation comes from a Brownfields State Response grant administered by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality through monies supplied by the Environmental Protection Agency. To keep the public aware, groundwater monitoring wells will be installed at the site in early May. The work will continue through August.
