Applications Being Accepted for Show Low Planning and Zoning Commission

Applications being accepted for Show Low Planning and Zoning Commission Applications are available for citizens interested in serving on the Show Low Planning and Zoning Commission. Four seats that expire November 2018 are available. Commissioners deliberate and make recommendations to the city council on various planning and zoning issues, including land use, growth and development, and zoning districts. Applicants must reside within the city limits of Show Low and be registered to vote. Applications are available at Show Low city hall, 180 N. 9th Street, or by contacting the city clerk's office at (928) 532-4061. Appointments will be made by the city council. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Nov. 12, 2014.

Notice of Proposed Increase in Highway Banner Sign Fees

In accordance with A.R.S. §9-499.15, public notice is hereby given that the Show Low City Council will consider approving the following increase in over-the-highway banner sign fees on or before January 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., but in no event sooner than 60 days after the posting date of this notice: Over-the-highway banner sign fees shall be charged at the actual cost to the city for equipment rental necessary to place and remove the over-the-highway banner sign. Find great bargains at community yard sale in November

Reserve your booth today or have fun shopping! Show Low, Ariz. (October 1, 2014) – The City of Show Low is holding a fourth community yard sale on Saturday, November 1, from 8 a.m. to noon at City Park in the basketball parking lot across from the dog park. Come sell your yard sale items or just have fun rummaging through bargains galore! Each 10x10-foot booth is only $10. You set your own prices and bring your own tables, chairs, display trays or stands, etc. Reserve your booth today (registration closes October 31). If 15 or more booth spaces have not sold by October 24, the yard sale will be canceled. Sponsored by the Show Low Parks and Recreation Department. Show Low Shines With Annual Light Parade

SHOW LOW SHINES WITH ANNUAL LIGHT PARADE Parade theme is “Toys of Christmas Past” SHOW LOW, Ariz. (September 4, 2014) – Show Low’s annual Christmas Light Parade in December is a perfect way to kick off your holiday festivities—and is an ideal venue to showcase your business, community group or family. This year’s parade on Saturday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m. along the Deuce of Clubs will highlight the theme, “Toys of Christmas Past.” Parade entries are being accepted now, with cash prizes awarded to parade winners. 9th Street Corridor Improvements

The City of Show Low has received a CDBG Grant to make pedestrian and parking improvements to N 9th Street from East Hall heading south to East Huning in the City of Show Low. The improvements include the installation of curb and gutter, sidewalk, ADA sidewalk ramps and drainage improvements. Periodically, detours will be present and minor delays may be experienced. Business traffic and local traffic will be maintained. Work will begin September 8th 2014 and will be completed by the first of December. Please contact City Engineer Shane Hemesath at 928-532-4090 at City Hall with any questions. Thank you for your understanding while these improvements are completed.

Whipple Roadway Construction Notice:

The City of Show Low will begin the Whipple Roadway Reconstruction Project on June 9th 2014. The project includes the construction of new curb and gutter, sidewalk, asphalt, and drainage improvements from the intersection of Central Avenue and Whipple Road heading east approximately 0.30 miles. Whipple Road from Central Ave. to Hunters Run will be closed, to through traffic, during construction. The project is scheduled to last approximately 150 days.
