SHOW LOW PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Regular Meeting – Thursday, December 17, 2009 

PURSUANT to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the Show Low Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and to the general public, that a Regular Meeting of the Show Low Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room, 550 North 9th Place, Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona.

        1.         Call to Order – Ken VanWinkle, Committee Chair 

          Ken VanWinkle called the meeting to order at 5:38 p.m. 

        2.         Roll Call 

PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT:  Jimmy Jayne, Ken VanWinkle, Steve Hair, and David Fawcett. 

          PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT:  Sally Williams. 

STAFF PRESENT:  Jason Mangum, Parks and Recreation Director; Stefan Wehnau, Recreation Supervisor; Rebecca Ricedorff, Recreation Coordinator. 

          GUESTS:  Rhett Ricedorff. 

        3.         Consideration of Approval of Minutes of August 20, 2009 and October 15, 2009. 

JIMMY JAYNE MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM AUGUST 20, 2009 AND OCTOBER 15, 2009.  DAVID FAWCETT SECONDED THE MOTION.  MOTION PASSED 4 TO 0. 

        4.         Presentation on the National Playground Safety Inspection Program. 

        5.         Presentation and Discussion of current and future playground facilities. 

Note:  Michael Mariscal could not attend to make the presentation.  Presentation and discussion will take place at the next Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee Meeting. 

        6.         Discussion on Arizona Centennial Project – February 14, 2012. 

        7.         Report from Show Low Fields Committee. 

        8.         Director’s Report. 

        9.         Adjournment.
